Hitomi's past two releases with Oppai, while decent, have seen her take on familiar roles. However, this time she's put into a new position as a quiet but alluring librarian who is a lustful nympho underneath. It's a refreshing change with a new role she's never taken on before but does it pay off? Let's find out...
As I mentioned earlier Hitomi's past 2 films have felt like a case of "been there done that". While they were decent in their own right you can't help but want something different. PPPD-917 finally brings us a new experience. Here Hitomi plays a timid librarian who is secretly full of lust and unleashes her inner nympho on an unsuspecting student. She's quite relentless as she fucks him in the library, in the stairwell, and even jerks him off in a bathroom stall. This leads to a nice little element of risk for some scenes. The film makes good use of its theme although one scene taking place on a subway feels a bit out of place. The film accurately delivers on its premise and all around makes for a refreshing watch.

Over the course of its 2 and a half hour runtime, it features 5 scenes in total. There are 3 full sex scenes, a paizuri scene, and lastly a handjob scene. Overall I think the action is excellent besides a few minor hiccups. Quite a few of the scenes incorporate an element of risk which makes the scenes much more exciting. Such as when she's fucking him on the stairs and students are walking around just below them. Or when she's jerking him off in the bathroom stall and purposely opens the door to expose themselves. If anything else I wish we could have gotten a bit more of that. The sex scenes are all solid although I do wish they could have been a little more intense but it's understandable given the setup. My few gripes are that the cumshot in the paizuri scene is really pathetic ending the scene with a whimper along with a glaring omission of doggystyle in any sex scene. A missed opportunity I feel but with her role, I can sorta forgive it. Beyond that, it's all pretty enjoyable.

When it comes to the production quality it's all very good. The set designs are all varied with the exception of 2 scenes reusing the same library location but it's at least at two different times of the day so it feels fresh enough. The lighting for the most part is fine but feels a little too harsh occasionally especially in the subway scene. Not enough to ruin the scene but it does damper the satisfaction. The pacing of the film is decent as it does move along at a steady pace. It can be a little heavy on the foreplay at times but that's just a personal gripe. The camerawork is exceptional as it captures some really stunning shots of Hitomi and the scene itself. Such as shooting above the bathroom stall to show Hitomi jerking the guy off while someone is right nearby in the next stall over. Finally, we have her wardrobe which is fantastic. A little bummer that her glasses are just empty frames but other than that she looks fantastic. Every outfit compliments her nerdy librarian role very nicely and we even get to see her in a pair of jeans which is quite rare.

I was very hyped going into this film admittedly and I came away mostly satisfied but I still think the film could have been better. This is mostly in regards to Hitomi's performance. On one hand, she takes the lead in every scene as she should and displays great control. And her facial expressions are mostly on point. But I can't help but feel her enthusiasm is a little underwhelming. I understand the demand to be quiet in some of the scenes but even in the final scene when it's just the two of them at night she's kinda lackluster. She doesn't exactly exude "nympho" vibes as you'd expect. Just lacking that extra "oomph" so to speak. That one issue is definitely keeping this film back a bit from the upper tier of her work. That being said this is still a terrific film more than worthy of your time. The plot is refreshing and exciting, the action is great and it's all wrapped up by some mostly satisfying production values. A little bit of a letdown from what I'd had hoped for but that's mainly on me for getting my hopes up too high. It's still a fantastic film.
